I uninstalled trial version of Acrobat Pro after purchasing monthly subscription.  I installed it because it would not allow me to log in following purchase. I am unable to download paid version. Creative Cloud continues to list it as "up-to-date" notwithstanding fact progran is no longer installed on my computer.

When I open a multi-page document, extract a couple pages (IE 1-4) attach them to an email, everything is good. When I try to extract more pages (IE 5-8) and attach them to an email, acrobat crashes.

This has been tested and proven on multiple machines in out environment. (All Windows 7 32bit running Office 2010)

Also I want to mention that in testing, if I do not apply the most recent update, it works as expected.

I get the following in the event logs:

Faulting application name: Acrobat.exe, version: 10.1.8.24, time stamp: 0x5225d619

Installation of Adobe XI Pro trial

I am trying to open Adobe XI Pro download that I put on my computer this morning. The first thing that happens is I get "log into Adobe Account". I try and it says I am not connected to the internet, although I clearly am. I have even opened the adobe site before trying to open Adobe XI.  It also indicates the problem might be that my clock is set incorrectly.  Since I have it on the auto time settings, I am not sure how it could be, but am willing to change it if necessary.  When I tried chat they said it is a technical issue.

Acrobat XI Pro Activation in Citrix Farm

We have implemented a new VDI environment based on Citrix XenApp 6.5 hosted shared server farm, i.e. multiple users log in to a group of servers. Access to Acrobat XI Pro has been limited to the number of users that we are licensed for. I have run the activation on all 6 XenApp servers as administrator, however when users launch the application, it asks them to activate the program. Is there a trick to activate it for all users?

Unable to find Adobe PDF resource files on Acrobat X Pro

I have a Windows 7 32-bit machine that receives the following error when attempting to create a PDF from Microsoft Office Word 2010: "Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files. "Acrobat PDFMaker" You must have Administrator priveleges to install these files. Please contact your local systems administrator" The user is a local administrator. Note: This does NOT happen on Excel 2010, only Word.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Acrobat Pro, running the installer in safe mode from the default local administrator account, printing directly to the PDF printer and following several other suggestions from similar threads.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

It failed with an error 1406, could not write a registry key.  The key was given.  I searched the registry, but that key was not found.  Not only I could not update the Acrobat, but I have also lost the PDF printer.

Acrobat 8 Pro for Mac??

I posted a question yesterday about the Acrobat 8 Pro download, but I did not make it clear that I need the MAC version. When I called Adobe, the person on the phone could not find my account at all. Could he have been looking for a Windows account? When I log into my account, I can see that my version has been registered, and now I just need to download it onto an older Mac computer that crashed. I have no disks (I won't make that mistake again!!).

Please help if you can.

thanks!

2010 I bought Acrobat X pro as a single application. Later I installed Master Collection CS6 and now I have subscribed to Master Collection CC. Since CS6 and CC came with their own Acrobat, I uninstalled my version X. Now I want to install the surplus X-version on my sparePC.

When trying to activate it I get the above Error Code 129:22  with the remark to contact support.

??????

Any ideas??

Thanks

A few days ago I tried to update Acrobat X Pro, but it failed. I got a message that I had to reinstall Acrobat. I have the teacher & student version of the Master Collection CS5.5 on disc and I'm using a Macbook Pro running Mountain Lion. I selected Acrobat to install and after a while I got the following error:

Hello,

I recently had a hardware malfunction and had to replace my Surface Pro. I purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 and want to reinstall it on the new tablet but cannot find a link to the installation files. I have the serial number in my Adobe account but can only find install files for updates.

Can anyone direct me to the full installation link for Standard 9?

Thanks,

George

How can I determine the language of Acrobat 11.0.03 installed?

Hi,

I am working with some remote machines in which Acrobat XI different versions are installed.

I am trying to get the language of Acrobat installed in each system.

Earlier, I used the registry key "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\<version>\Language\UI" to get the language info, but unfortunatley now I am not getting any value like "UI" under the registry "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\<version>\Language"

Does this mean the installation was not done properly from language prospective ?

And I need some key under HKLM this time aswell to get the language info, instead of HKCU.

So, please if any one can help me out here ?

Appreciate all the help!!

Acrobat Pro XI - How do I turn off "Preparing Document For Reading"?

$

This issue has been-posted before, but a solution has not been found….

Whenever I open PDF documents in Adobe Acrobat Pro X, it stops working while a dialog comes up that says "preparing document for reading".

Most of the files I open are a combination of engineering drawings and text.  This dialog freezes Acrobat for several minutes until it is finished.

It does this with most documents, but not all.  It also does this when I use the "Combine supported files" feature in Explorer, and when I print documents to the Adobe PDF printer.  Once I create and save a document, it does not come up, however, I have noticed that documents that are new to me, or created new, seem to have this problem.

What is this? Why is it set to come on by default?  And, most importantly, how do I turn it off or disable it?

Is it possible to go into the setup for Adobe Acrobat pro x and uninstall this "feature"?  It is entirely useless to me, and very unwanted.

--------------

I have tried the following so far:

  • Autoreading is turned off in Preferences
  • View > Read Out Loud > Deactivate Read Out Loud has been clicked (The Read Out Loud > says "Activate Read Out Loud", so I am assuming it is off now)

--------------

Currently: Two computers later, Two completely different installations of Windows 7 versions "Professional" and "Enterprise", Adobe Acrobat pro X, and now Acrobat Pro XI, the reading dialog still comes up.

This now has all the feel of a program defect residing within the Acrobat software.  There must be some way to permanently disable this very annoying, and very unwanted feature.

---------------

Adobe, by the way, if you are listening out there, this should be a feature that is installed or not-installed based upon user preferences.  I really do not like having to click through the cancel windows everytime I try to read a new document.

Print to pdf from IE 10 hanging and making system unstable.

We have just migrated our entire organisation to Win7 / IE10 / CS6 / Acrobat Pro X. We are now experiencing problems with the Adobe PDF printer driver. Once the problem occurs, the PC becomes unstable until the next reboot.

The problem is triggered by printing to the Adobe PDF printer from IE10. I've been using the BBC news website for testing. It may be that it will work fine repeatedly and then will hang, locking up IE, when printing.

If working well, a hang can usually be induced by selecting a destination file name that already exists, selecting not to overwrite, and then specifying an alternative filename. The file selection window is then cropped to the frame of the IE window and then IE hangs with the busy rotating circle.

Any suggestions?

I have Adobe XI and Word 2010.  I downloaded a file to print and am unable to read the document. I only need to do this once or twice a year so I don't want to pay a monthly fee for this service.  What can I do?

How can I install Acrobat XI when Creative Cloud says it is up to date and already installed?

I uninstalled it prior to purchasing and installing Creative Cloud on the recommendation of customer service.
