How do I reinstall Acrobat Pro from Adobe Cloud

I recently uninstalled Acrobat Pro from my computer as I thought there was an error with the program. I am trying to reinstall it from my membership with Adobe Cloud but it thinks I still have the software installed. How can I reinstall from Adobe Cloud or who can I contact to rectify this from adobe. I can't find an email address for their helpline?

Creative Cloud Acrobat XI error 16 remove/reinstall popup

I have upgraded from Creative Suite 6 to Creative Cloud and since I did I am getting a message everytime I open a PDF where Acrobat gives me a popup that tells me to remove and then reinstall Acrobat. Trouble is...In the Creative Cloud control panel there is no way to do that. I am venturing a guess that I do not need to go to my system's Add/Remove programs interface.

FWIW...I have an i7 3730 Intel laptop with 32GB ram, 1.5TB hd and two video cards so I know it's not underpowered or that ram is full.

Ideas on what to do?

Thanks

john

Running Acrobat from a network share - Possible?

$

Hi there,

prior to purchasing Acrobat I enquired from the sales line (telephone) if it was possible to run Acrobat from a network share.  The reason is that we very rarely need Acrobat (maybe 2 - 3 times a month) but we do need all network users to be able to access it.  We were told that this was indeed possible and that the licencing would not be violated if only a single user at a time accessed the program.

Subsequently I installed Acrobat on a client computer but to a mappaed network drive.  I then tried to access this from another client but came across the standard "Cannot find files' error message which suggests that it was using a registry key or system path to look for files.

I searched the forums, other sites and product documentation without any joy.  I suspect that the advice I was given from the sales desk was perhaps less than accurate.

Has anyone done this and if so how?

Many thanks in advance.

Acrobat XIPro Blurry with retina Display MBP

I have the new 15" MBP with retina display and my PDF documents, when opened in Acrobat XIPro, look extremely blurry even when the majority of the file is vector based graphics. In fact, the entire Acrobat interface is extremely blurry. The file looks crisp and clear when displayed using Apple's Display Software. Is there a fix? Is Adobe behind on an update to this problem? I've already messed around with the preferences to no avail. Thanks for your help...

I recently switched macs and rebuilt the new one using a backup from time machine...

My backup was supposed to have excluded apps..

However, cc app manager now shows Acrobat Pro XI as up-to-date even though it's not installed...

and there is no way to restart the process... even when checking the adobe uninstaller folder, there is no acrobat uninstaller..

please check screenshots below and let me know if anybody experienced the same issue and how you managed to resolve it...

Can I download and install my copy of Acrobat onto a 32 Gb flash drive and launch it from the flash drive? It would make it more portable than lugging around a laptop!

Cannot open files on network

When I try to open a PDF from the network, I get an error message:  "There was an error opening this document.  This file cannot be found."

I have no problem opening PDFs from within Acrobat.  (The problem exists only when trying to open from an Explorer window or another program.)

I cannot think of any change that would have caused this to start.

I have tried Repair.  I have tried uninstalling, using Acrobat's "cleanup" tool, and reinstalling --- the problem persists.

This is significantly impairing my ability to work!

Any idea what is causing this?

Thanks.

Adobe CC Acrobat XI installation requires a PC restart to close Outlook 2010

June 27, 2013

When installing Adobe CC Acrobat XI, dialog box demanded that Outlook (Office 2010) be closed.  This wasn't sufficient.  I ended up restarting Windows 7 HP before I was able to proceed.

Just an FYI for everyone.

Acrobat X Pro (10 and lower) won't start on Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello, does anyone know why Acrobat X Pro (10 and lower) won't start on Windows 7 (64-bit)? It just doesn't respond whether I try to open files with it or double-click to start the program. Re-installation and Repair doesn't help. I had the same issue with the previous versions of Acrobat on this computer.

Thank you!

We installed Adobe Acrobat pro as part of Design premium on MACPRO twelve Core 2.93 with 10GB Memory and 27inch Display running OS 10.8.4

We opened high resolution pdf file 170MB with 330pages with 300% Zoom, when we scrolled trough the pages, the respond is very slow and sluggish. We Zoom in to 100%, scrolling still sluggish.

We try to reseat the memory, repair permission,  reset PRAM and the problem still the same.

Can you help me?

Please help me understand Acrobat Standard Xl installation issue with C++?

I have an error message : "Visual C++2010 (x64) Runtime missing: Insralling Acrobat via MSI will not install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 (x64) runtime. With out this, some application functionality will not work. You can try installing using set.exe if not already done. Press OK to ignore and proceed anyway or Cancel to stop installation."

I have been to the Adobe help page about this. I have tried to install the C++ from Microsoft via the link there, and a message just offers a repair, which I selected. That made no difference -- same error message when I try to install Acrobat.

I don't understand because as far as I can see I have indeed tried to install using setup.exe -- as directed from the disc. I could not find the vc-red.msi in VC10RT_x64 to re-install...

Can anyone help me with what else to do? I am not a techy person, just someone trying to do this right...
