Error 1723 fix

Hi all,

 

Just an FYI:

 

Error 1723>>

"There is a problem with this windows installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Action ISSetupFilesExtract, entry: SFStartupEx, Library- C:\users\~\AppData\Local\Temp\MSI649C.tmp "

 

Fix:

Type the following in start menu

C:/Users/username/appdata/local/temp

Then right click on temp folder and choose properties.
Then click on Security tab. There may be two option in the Box named Group or user names:
Then click on Edit and give all permission (i.e. Full control,.....) to Everyone Named option. then apply and OK.

After installing Acrobat XI Pro, Acrobat.com is not found

I installed Acorbat XI Pro for Middle East, I don't find icon "Save to Acorbat.com". Also, I expected to find full integration with workspaces.acrobat.com and also files.acrobat.com for sharing files, but I cannot find any way to upload the file from Acrobat XI Pro to such online services, and I cannot open files directly from such online services.

 

Appreciate your help.

MY COMPUTER IS TELLING ME THAT ADOBE ACROBAT READER IS NOT INSTALLED BUT IT IS!!!!! I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and enabled active script and disabled active X filtering. Someone please help before this computer goes through my window!!!!

Serial Number request

Starting after the most recent update to Acrobat XI Pro I'm being asked for a serial number. I have a full active creative cloud subscription so I'm not sure how to input a serial number to proceed.

 

I previously had a subscription of Adobe eLearning Suite (now discontinued) and this is in the title of the dialog box that's asking for the Acrobat XI Pro serial number. I don't know why this has just picked up the latest version of Acrobat XI Pro and not any previous version. None of the other CC applications are being picked up and asked for a serial number.

 

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I can't get into Acrobat XI Pro at all at the moment.

 

I'm running Adobe CC applicaitons on OS X Mavericks.

Hallo, ich versuche seit Tagen vergeblich, auf meinem Rechner obiges Produkt zu installieren. Der Download-Assistent bleibt nach der Anmeldung stehen und man kann nicht das Produkt auswählen. (Kann das Foto hier leider nicht einfügen.)

Ich benutze Google Chrome, Windows 7. Genügend Speicher habe ich auch.

Can't reinstall Adobe 8 Pro

I am doing an internship for a company which uses Adobe 8 Pro.  A few years they had a fire that completely destroyed their building, computers included.  I am trying to use the Adobe 8 Pro disks that the company has but It will not let me load the software.  Apparently someone has tried this in the past because 8 Pro is loaded on some machines however it will not allow the saving of a file as a PDF nor will it allow you to save an existing file as a PDF.  How do I un-install the previous 8 Pro and try to re-load it so it will be completely functional?

Windows 7, Acrobat and redirected folders to a network server

I have discovered an issue with Windows 7, Acrobat and redirected folders to a network server.  This may already be known and if so, if anyone has a workaround it would be appreciated. 


Our My Documents, My Pictures, etc folders are redirected to a network user directory on a server by GPO.  The problem exists whenever we attempt to install or update Acrobat.  We get an error that states.

 

Error 1324. The path My Pictures or the volume is invalid.  Please enter it again.

 

The fix has been to change the My Pictures path in the Windows 7 registry to "Pictures" instead of My Pictures.  This temporarily gets rid of the error and allows for proper installation and updating.  Unfortunately we haven't been able to figure out how to change the name of My Pictures in GPO without considerable headache.

 

Any support would be greatly appreciated!

Adobe Acrobat opens up every file from the day before, always

Usually it would do something like this when it crashes to recover but now whenever I open a PDF and have none already opened it will open every single PDF I opened YESTERDAY as if it crashed with them all open. I did not have most of those PDFs open even within the same hour yesterday nor did Adobe crash at any point.

 

It will also do this randomly while open with a PDF while using Quite Imposing to create a new PDF. It will just go, Hey! I'm going to open up 60 PDFs to freeze your PC!

 

Any suggestions?

msftedit.dll crashes Acrobat XI Update

The newest update of Acrobat XI will not run. The error is showing the issue is the msftedit.dll file in the System32

 

 

How do I replace this to fix issue?

Win 7 Visual Elements gone after install Acro Pro 11

Have just rolled out Acrobat Pro v11 to 6 users.

Every single one of them now do not have the Windows 7 visual elements like Aero peek.  They like being able to see thumbnails instead of just titles in their task bars.

 

Here's what happens:

Install Pro 11

After completing install and register, about 2 mins later a pop up window says "Windows has detected that your computer's performance is slow. Click to see more information and options."

If I ignore the message a few mins later I will get another pop that says "The color scheme has been changed to Windows Basic.  The current color schemem has exceeded its allowed memory so the color scheme has been automatically changed to improve performance.  Click to see more information".

And then all the visual elements are gone.

 

I try changing it back to Aero theme, and the same thing happens.

 

My users need Pro 11, BUT they want their Win 7 elements.

 

There must be a setting somewhere to stop this from happening.

Adobe Acrobat Pro XI - I get different toolbar configurations when opening files.

I have set up my Adobe Acrobat Pro XI with a selection of toolbars that suits my needs.  So far, so good.  Recently, however, when I open some files, I get a different set of tool bars that resembles the default version. 

 

I have tried opening the files several ways (e.g. menu, double-click in Explorer, etc.).  It makes no difference what I do.

 

How do I force Acrobat to open the files using my set of toolbars instead of this truncated version?  And why is this changing?

Acrobat Pro X crashes on opening doc

When I open any pdf the doc opens then crashes. The app then opens and says accept licensing terms. It then opens the doc again and crashes. Then the license window opens again.

 

I'm on a Mac using 10.9.1

 

This is happening on both my computers. I tried to reintall the app but it wants to update what I have and it won't find the correct version to update probably because I am using 10.8 Acrobat and it doesn't have anything to update. I tried the 11 version but I don't own that version so it wouldn't update that either.

 

I deactivated the main license for CS6 and reactived with my serial number. That didn't help either.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro: window doesn't display correctly

I downloaded the latest version of Acrobat 9 Pro.

 

Now, when I open multiple documents I have problems.

 

- When I open the first document, the document displays correctly (fits the screen correctly)

- When I open the second document, the title bar of the window is cut off (that is, the title bar displays above the top edge of the computer screen)

 

I cannot access the title bar or the menu bar for the second window on my laptop screen without resizing the window.

 

I am using Windows 7 64 bit, with the display set for custom (110%) font size. My screen resolution is set for the recommended setting for the laptop (1366x768). I cannot use smaller fonts.

 

How do I get my documents to display correctly when I open more than one document? As a technical writer, I need multiple documents open.

Acrobat 11 I won't install

When downloading Adobe Acrobat XI Pro trial version, I get an installer errormessage that says "error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid" (whatever the hell that means.

 

I was told it was my browser and to download Google Chrome and try again. Did that - same resulkts.

 

I was then toald to creat a folder on my desktop and download it to it. Did that - same results

 

I'm using Windows XP Pro Version 2002 - Any ideas

Solution for Retina Display issues with Acrobat 11.0.04

Hi,

There seems to be a problem some users experience upgrading to Acrobat 11.0.04 on Mac Book Pro's that support Retina Display.

In certain cases, Acrobat still runs in low definition and the setting "Open in Low Resolution" is checked and grayed-out (can't be changed).

 

One cause we've identified is a preference file that is not updated in certain cases and prevents the system from letting Acrobat running in Retina Display mode.

 

To fix it you can try this:

  1. Uninstall Acrobat 11
  2. Remove Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist
  3. Install Acrobat 11 again
  4. Use Help/update to upgrade to 11.0.4

 

One of the knwon workflows is upgrading from a previous version of Acrobat that had been installed before a system upgrade, or from an old version of Acrobat such as 9 that is not supported on Mac OS 10.8.

 

Please share your experience here and let us know if doesn't solve your issue. We'll contact you case by case if needed, to make sure you can have Acrobat run in high definition.

Acrobat XI pro serial number issues

I have just upgraded my pc to a larger SSD and win 8.  and reinstalled XI pro with the serial number originally provided (I have double checked the serial number online).

When I attempt to start XI pro I receive a message stating the serial number is valid but a qualifying product could not be found. The 'select a product' drop down does not include XI pro so I can't re-enter the serial number.

Any suggestions?
