I have a previous version of Acrobat which new version should I get?
I have a previous version of Acrobat from CS6 Design standard. But now I have a PC with Windows 10 Enterprise and it doesn't work any more. Which version should I get now? I read something about being able to upgrade to Acrobat DC if you have a license for an earlier version. But there are 4 alternatives for buying the product. 2 licenses and 2 with uppgrade or full download.

DC Acrobat won't install, keeps saying a previous version needs removing. Have uninstalled the previous version?!
New to Creative Cloud. DC Acrobat won't install, keeps saying I need to uninstall previous acrobat. Was on Creative Suite previously and used the uninstall facility, then deleted those files. I can't locate any other hidden files, so am now at a loss and without any acrobat reader at all.

Acrobat DC Home screen question
I am using Acrobat DC on a Mac running El Capitan. In the past, the Home screen would stay open, even if I did not have a document open. For some reason, now it closes when I close a document.
Is there a preference or other setting that I can work with to change this? I know some folks don't like having it open, but I need to refer back often to recently viewed pdfs and it is handy.
THanks.
Stuart
Invalid Serial Number for Adobe Acrobat Pro 9
I have a valid serial number for Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 but when I install (from https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-8-9-product-downloads.html) it states that the serial number is invalid. I currently have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed on my PC.
Acrobat Pro 9 Update issue
Hello,
I own the Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium (it was upgraded from CS5 Web Premium which Acrobat Pro 9 was part of).
Since purchase my Acrobat Pro 9 was upgraded for free to Acrobat X.
As I saw the constant notifications in the Creative Cloud App, that there is available upgrade to Acrobat DC I thought to give it a go, but as uninstalling previous version of Acrobat was required, I contacted Adobe Chat Support to check if this upgrade is available to me and their team member confirmed that I'm eligible for this upgrade.
I have uninstalled Acrobat X and I installed the DC version, which asked me for my serial number.
The serial number I had (originally for Acrobat 9) didn't work, so I contacted the Adobe Chat Support team again, but this time I've been advised, that previously I've been advised incorrectly and I'm not eligible to this upgrade.
I have uninstalled the Acrobat DC and I downloaded Acrobat X from this site: Download Adobe Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X.
During the installation my serial number didn't work as well (I tried both X Pro and X Standard).
So I installed original copy of Acrobat 9 Pro, but when I go to "Menu > Help > Check for updates", I can see the message: "No updates available".
So it looks now, I lost my copy of Acrobat X and I've been advised to seek for help here on this forum...
My question is how can I obtain back Acrobat X.

Acrobat Pro DC executables
Hi... I've recently installed Acrobat Pro DC (Team subscription) on a workstation in my office. I've since noted 12 different executables that appear to be related to the product that have attempted to access the network or internet. The environment I support requires that I understand why executables are running, especially when those executables are attempting network access. I contacted tech support, but was given the answer that they don't know what these individual applications do and they had no resource to find out (I'll refrain from expressing my frustration over this answer).
I have either discerned or learned from Google searching what several of the executables' functions are. However, I am left with several unknowns, and most of these didn't show up until a week or more after Acrobat was installed:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCClient\AdobeGCClient.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\AdobeGCClient\customhook\gccustomhook.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCClient\agshelper.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCClient\AGSService.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\AcroCEF\AcroCEF.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\LogTransport2.exe (I believe this is part of the Customer Improvement Program)
Can any of these be safely disabled? Safely blocked from network access? If they can be disabled, can I do this using the Customization Wizard or through registry settings (services integration)?
By the way, I thought I had LogTransport2.exe stopped through the setting of the bUsageMeasurement registry value, but LogTransport2.exe has run and tried to access the network since I applied this (just not as frequently as before I applied it).
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown] "bUsageMeasurement"=dword:00000000
I don't know if this disables participation in the Customer Improvement Program, or if the setting just keeps users from changing the participation preference.
Thank you!
Acrobat updater finding?
How can I update Acrobat? Creative Cloud wants to update Acrobat, but asks me to close Acrobat Updater, which I can't find. Not in Applications. Not in dock. Not in Force Quit. Where?
Upgraded to Adobe Acrobat DC from Adobe Acrobat XI and completely unsatisfied - paid good money for bad problems.
I was satisfied with Abobe Acrobat XI Professional. I upgraded because I could not get the extension for Firefox to work and figured that the latest version would work with Firefox - wrong. Since upgrading here are a few of my comments for others to consider before upgrading:
1) The look and feel of the product is a throwback to the 1990's when there was no intuitive drag and drop capability, no good looking interface icons - it is sad and a melancholy experience to use the new product.
2) Loss in productivity learning all the new "where did they hide it now?"
3) None of my menu bar modifications were preserved so I spent a long time resetting them so I can almost work like I did before and am still not there.
4) I have problems with the product suddenly showing blank spaces in a PDF document. I have to close and reopen the document to display the text. This never happened with XI and must be a problem added with DC. Who did the testing on this stuff - agile with no testing?
5) There is a feel that they designed this product to be a consumer product across multiple platforms when I need to "create" and "modify" material on Windows. Please - there is a different experience needed for the "consume" information through pdfs and creating information through pdfs.
6) The Firefox extension problem is a known problem but unknown to the sales team evidently when I called and asked them - "sure it will work with Firefox - says it right here." I would get mad at the phone operator but it is only because their scripts they read from are wrong.
There are more problems, but I think this gets the point across.
Folks, I just want to get my job done and you have made a great product horrible. I am sorry I paid the upgrade price for no new functionality and a brand new experience that is totally unproductive.
Thanks.
Cheers
Pete

Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard Download
Is there a link where I can download the Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard? I lost my CD so I need the software...let me know. Thanks!
How can I update Acrobat Standard 8.0.0 to 8.1 and beyond?
I have Acrobat Standard 8.0.0 running on Windows 7, 64 bit and I want to update it. When I try to update through the program I get an error message stating there is not internet connection. How can I update to 8.1 and then update to the most recent version of Acrobat Standard 8? I found various updates but they all require that 8.1.1 be installed first. It's driving me nuts!
I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thanks.
